What is LAS?

Ligamentous Articular Strain (LAS) is a gentle manual therapy technique used to relieve pain and improve mobility by addressing restrictions in joints and the surrounding ligaments. It is based on the principle that ligaments — which support and stabilize joints — can become tense or strained due to injury, overuse, or postural habits.

When these ligamentous tensions build up, they can disrupt the natural balance and fluid movement of the body, contributing to pain, stiffness, or restricted mobility.

How does it work?

The LAS technique involves the practitioner gently positioning the joint into a place of ease — where tension is minimized. This allows the body’s connective tissue (fascia) and ligaments to "reset" and release abnormal strain patterns.
